After initially working together in substation design in South Australia, and following further experience in utilities and consultancies within Victoria and Queensland, a group of like-minded friends conceptualised Utica in 2018.
Across the industry, we identified the increasing shortage in paraprofessional skills in substation design, and saw value in reviving this service.
Now, as Utica, we provide a critical link between engineering and construction.
Our Consultants
Adam Rauch
Adam has more than 20 years of experience in the Utility industry, with in-depth knowledge of South Australian electrical utilities. He is skilled in primary systems design and has specialist knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD software packages.
When Adam is not at Utica, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Stuart Hillman
Stuart has more than 25 years of experience in the design and construction of transmission and distribution substations, with in-depth knowledge of South Australian electrical utilities. He is skilled in secondary systems design and has specialist knowledge of MicroStation software package.
When Stuart is not at Utica he loves to travel, either around his backyard in South Australia or further abroad.
Ben Mercorella
Ben has nearly 20 years of experience in the electrical utility industry and in construction. His experience spans multiple electrical utilities across South Australia and Victoria, in areas of substation design, design management, and business development.
When Ben is not at Utica he loves to spend time in his community with his family.
